About Us

Our aim is to create a safe, caring and healthy environment, where children can learn through play and develop new skills.
We provide a variety of activities and learning opportunities which will develop each individual child’s needs, interests and abilities.

Our curriculum is based on the Scottish Executive’s “Curriculum for Excellence”. Each child will receive a Personal Learning Journals (PLJ) to support and record their learning. This will follow your child up to Primary one. Each child will have an allocated keyworker to keep you informed of your child’s progress.

We offer many opportunities for children to freely choose from a broad range of activities and experiences planned by both the children, parents, carers and staff.  We are aware that each child is unique, and develops at different times and stages.  We aim to provide a curriculum that caters for everyone and we will build on the individual child’s previous knowledge and understanding.  The purpose of the Curriculum for Excellence is to ensure that all young people become successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens.  Our curriculum covers the following areas:  Health and Wellbeing, Language and Literacy, Maths and Numeracy, Expressive Arts, Science, Technologies, Social Subjects and RME.
